Racefor7 was simultaneously organized in USA and India on Feb 26. The rare disease awareness message was taken to the US Capitol, Whitehouse and Lincoln Memorial. The 7km run was organized at the Washington Monument National Park.
ORDI and research collaborator George Mason University (GMU) had an exhibit table at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) Rare Disease Day Event on Feb 27, 2017. Five students from GMU pursuing research in rare diseases with ORDI co-founder, Dr. Harsha Rajasimha participated at the exhibit gathering feedback from the community of researchers.
Dr. Harsha Rajasimha, Co-Founder, ORDI presented on “Challenges and Opportunities for rare diseases in India, a progress report and lessons from rest of the world.” And “Uniting >70Million patients with rare diseases in India and connecting with global initiatives.”
ORDI Co-Founder Dr. Harsha Rajasimha organized the first official ORDI USA event at Inchin Bamboo Garden, Herndon, VA. About 12 friends of ORDI participated and donated for the cause on the occasion.
